# Remaining budgets when recording time

In the time tracking settings, it can be enabled whether users should get an insight into the remaining budget of the job for which they are currently logging time when entering time.

For this, the basic setting must be enabled in the system:

If I then select a job in time tracking, up to three budget progress bars appear.

a) the remaining budget in the selected function at the selected estimate item (if this is configured in the job)

b) the remaining project budget in the selected function (e.g. graphic designer)

c) the remaining project budget for agency services in total.

The remaining values are given in hours and, rounded up to full hours, represent the average hourly rate determined so far over the course of the job.

If it is set on the job that the agency service budget comes from estimates, then the value simply corresponds to the sales value entered in the estimate item against which you want to post here. If you sell an item for €1,000, the hourly value then corresponds to the €1,000 for that item. The hourly rate is derived from the price list or, for other agency services, from the average of the hours already incurred in the job. If no hours have been incurred yet, then simply from the average of all hourly rates in the customer account price list.

If it is set on the job that the agency service comes from planned budgets, then only an hourly budget is shown here if a planned budget is also stored for the item against which you are currently posting. Otherwise, the item budget here is zero.
