The outgoing invoices of Die Agenturverwaltung already support the ZUGFeRD 2.1 standard as a hybrid e-invoice.
This means that the invoice is readable as a PDF for humans, but an XML file is embedded in the PDF that is machine-readable and provides the invoice content as structured data.
With Adobe Acrobat Reader DC this XML file (faktur-x.xml) can also be opened. It can be found on the left under the Attachments tab with the paperclip icon.
E-invoices can also be received with Die Agenturverwaltung.
The dispatch is by default in the format PDF/A-3 as a hybrid e-invoice with embedded XML in the format ZUGFeRD 2.1.
However, other formats than XML or JSON (or even just as simple PDF without embedded e-invoice) can be sent by e-mail:
