# API tokens

Here you can generate API tokens for third-party systems. 

An API token has the same access rights as the person who created it.

Administrators can also see API tokens of other users here.

**Security notice:**\
Store newly generated API tokens in a password vault such as 1Password and do not share them by email. Anyone with access to the token has read and write access to the same extent as the user who created the token.
